BettingPro's new expert Nigel Seeley offers his three best bets for the Hero World Challenge in The Bahamas.

The Hero World Challenge

WHAT a couple of weeks it's been for golf followers here at ukbettingpro after a 50/1 second with Matt Wallace in Dubai on my golf tipping debut, we went one better last week with our 12/1 headline tip Belgium storming away with the World Cup in Melbourne.

This week we have a star studded field assembled at Albany over in The Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge and I will be hoping that my three off the tee won't see me go from Hero to zero in just under a week.

The 18 man field is headed by local resident to Albany, England's Justin Rose and usually players that live on or close to a course are usually ones to get with, but on this occasion I am not interested in the short priced odds on the bookies favourite.

Rose is in great form with four top four finishes in his last five starts, but his record at this event in the last three years is 13th, WD and 5th - which isn't one that gets me excited.

Vying for second favouritism is an American quintet of Dustin Johnson, Tiger Woods, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and new kid on the block Bryson DeChambeu.

This tournament sparked the start of the Tiger revival last year and even though he will be in contention single figure odds about Woods in this quality line-up is not the way to get rich.

Three From The Tee

1) Rickie Fowler @ 8/1 with Unibet

Of the leading contenders the man I like is RICKIE FOWLER at 17/2 with a number of bookies.

Fowler, won this event last and also boasts two third place finishes at the venue and he's game is suited to the conditions at Albany.

In his last start at Mayakoba he finished in 16th spot after opening with a fantastic round of 66 and closing with an equally impressive 67 and that was following a fourth place at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

At Albany he averages 67.67 per round, which is by some distance the best in the field and he ticks all the boxes this week and is a confident selection to defend his title.

2) Tony Finau @ 16/1 with BetVictor

TONY FINAU has been Mr Consistent on the PGA Tour for the last 18 months and I fully expect him to go close on debut this week at the general 16/1.

Finau, tied with Fowler in 16th spot at Mayakoba in his last start and also finished runner-up at the HSBC World Championships at the end of last month.

Last season the gentle giant had 11 top 10 finishes in 28 starts and although he failed to win an PGA Tour event he was runner-up on three occasions and almost won the FedEx Cup.

The US Ryder Cup star is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour and Albany's short par 5 holes will give him a huge advantage with his distance.

3) Keegan Bradley @ 40/1 with Unibet

An outsider to keep on your side at tasty odds is KEEGAN BRADLEY at 40/1 who is the outsider of the field and I think that is being unfair to the 32 year-old.

Bradley won on the PGA Tour for the fourth time at the BMW Championships in September beating Justin Rose in a play-off and since his first tour success in six years his continued with his fine form with a 17th finish at the Australian Open two week ago which came on the back of 19th finish at the CIMB Classic and an impressive sixth at the HSBC World Championships.

Bradley is a proven winner, who is inform and has decent course form at Albany and no way should he be considered the outsider of this field.
