Charles Schwab Challenge betting tips for this week. Read on for our expert tips for the British Masters taking place at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.

Charles Schwab Challenge

Brooks Koepka rewarded favourite backers with his impressive victory at Bethpage Black on Sunday to land back to back PGA Championships and win his fourth major championship and punters will be looking to Justin Rose this week to do exactly the same when the Englishman defends the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial.

Last year Rose won this tournament with an impressive -20, beating the man of the moment Koepka into runners-up spot. There is no Koepka this week, which is a relief for the field and Rose is a deserving favourite, but his form has been far too inconsistent over the last couple of months and he will be a popular choice for many, but odds of 11/1 look plenty short enough for me.

Jon Rahm is the next in the betting at 12/1 and the Spaniard has an excellent recent record at Colonial finishing second on debut in 2017 and fifth in 2018 in his only two previous visits. The 24 year-old's scoring averages are very impressive averaging 67.63, but I still want to overlook him after his dismal display at Bethpage last week.

The home challenge is led by Rickie Fowler and he is third in the betting at 14/1 and he is another that can be overlooked at the prices. Fowler has played in this event seven times previously and only has three top 15 and after a disappointing final round 77 at the PGA Championship he is one to avoid.

Three From The Tee

Scott Piercy @ 50/1 bet365
* Odds correct at 11:06 BST on 21/5/2019

I have three big price selections this week and my first is SCOTT PIERCY at 50/1 with bet365.

Piercy arrives at the Colonial in great form currently at 18th in the FedEx standings with six top 10 finishes so far this season. Last week at the PGA Championships he finished in a creditable 41st spot, but he was a victim of Bethpage in the tough Sunday conditions to fall down the leader-board after shooting a final round 76.

Two weeks ago he was runner-up at the AT&T Byron Nelson and at the end of April he was third at The Heritage and with a couple of top 10s at Colonial already in his career, with his most recent a seventh finish in 2017 with doubts about the main fancies he looks a very nice price to add to his four PGA Tour wins this weekend.

Rory Sabbatini @ 50/1 Ladbrokes

RORY SABBATINI is a player that I have been watching with close interest over the last few weeks and the time looks right to back the 43 year old this week at the general 50/1.

Sabbatini has been in the golf wilderness for a few years, but his recent performances have been very encouraging with three top 10 finishes in his last four starts and the only time he was out of the top 10 was 18th and the Wells Fargo when he recovered from a 76 to start to close with some very impressive figures. He is a Colonial veteran and this will be his 19th appearance with success at this event back in 2007 and with also six top 20 finishes at this tournament and in great current form he ticks all the boxes to go close this week.

Ryan Palmer @ 75/1 bet365
* Odds correct at 11:06 BST on 21/5/2019

RYAN PALMER has all the form at Colonial to suggest that the 75/1 offered at bet365 could look a big price on Monday morning.

The 42 year-old is a Colonial member and has three career top five finishes at this event and after a recent win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at the end of April 75/1 is a price that looks far too big and certainly won't be available when they tee-off on Thursday.
