Nigel Seeley’s three from the tee for the Andalucia Masters

Nigel Seeley 25 Jun 2019

Andalucia Masters betting tips for this week. Read on for our expert tips for the Andalucia Masters taking place at the Valderrama Golf Course in the Costa Del Sol.

Andalucia Masters

European golf this week comes from Spain and it's the Andalucia Masters from the stunning Valderrama Golf Course and it's not one of the best fields that has been assembled in the Costa Del Sol over the four days.

This event has only been staged four times previously and on three of those occasions it's been won by it's host Spain's Sergio Garcia and the former Masters winner leads the betting yet again this week at the general price of 13/2.

Garcia will be a very popular choice with golf punters given his excellent record at the track, but I would still want at least double figure prices when you consider his compatriot Jon Rahm is also in the field at 7/1 and in-form Englishman Matthew Fitzpatrick features and he's available at 10/1 and out of the leading three, Fitzpatrick would be the one that I would expect most likely to challenge for the title on Sunday.

Three From The Tee

David Lipsky @ 50/1 Paddy Power

The market is dominated by the top three players and it's hard to find any value in them at the prices on offer so this week we are heading further down the lists for a tournament winner and my first suggestion is DAVID LIPSKY at 50/1 with Paddy Power.

American Lipsky was one of my three off the tee last week in Germany and after a dreadful start he recovered well to finish in a share of 26th place. The 30 year-old finished 22nd at this event last year and is in good form on the European Tour with three top 15 in three of his last four starts and in a tournament that isn't going to take much winning 50/1 for a two time European Tour winner who is in good form and plays the course well is worth an each-way investment.

Alejandro Canizares @ 100/1 Coral

Local boy ALEJANDRO CANIZARES isn't in the best of form, but his Valderrama record makes him appealing at a monster 100/1 with a number of bookmakers.

Canizares has missed the cut in his last two starts, but he was unlucky last week as he played some decent golf in his second round in Germany shooting 69 but the opening day's 74 proved costly, prior to those two disappointing displays he finished ninth at the Made In Denmark and that would've been even higher if it wasn't for a poor third round and back on home turf and at a venue that he knows very well with him being born just up the coast in Malaga, conditions will suit and I would except him to show his best form. Canizares has been an ever present at this tournament and has made the cut on every occasion and has made the top 10 twice with no worse than a 36th finish in 2017 and that makes the 125/1 with seven places very tempting.

Oliver Wilson @ 70/1 Ladbrokes

Another big priced outsider completes my three off the tee this week and it's OLIVER WILSON at a massive at 70/1 with Ladbrokes.

Wilson, arrives in the south of Spain in great form after finishing 26th in Germany following a fourth at The Made In Denmark earlier in the month and eighth at the Betfred British Masters. The 38 year-old loves Valderrama and at a tasty price he can add to his Alfred Dunhill Links success in 2014 in a tournament that has the look about it that we could have a shock winner with the top three clear in the betting and looking at this event to get their A Game in tip top shape for The Open Championships in a few weeks time in Portrush.
