Champiosnhip predicitions for the 19:45 games on Tuesday, March 13. Can Wolves bounce back from their latest defeat to continue their time at the top, or will Cardiff ascend to the top by the end of the night? Read on for our free predicitions and betting tips for 19:45 on Tuesday.

Aston Villa vs Queens Park Rangers

Aston Villa strengthened their push for a promotion place with a very impressive 4-1 win over leaders Wolves on Saturday as they cut the gap between themselves and the side in first-place to just seven points. Steve Bruce’s side have been on an upward trajectory for some time now and they will be looking to continue a run of form that has seen them win their last three Championship games in a row. Queens Park Rangers on the other hand have been languishing in midtable for some time as they struggle to push on. Two wins, two defeats and one draw in their last five displays that they are not in the most inspiring of form, and their hosts will feel they will edge this contest.

Brentford vs Cardiff City

This is a huge match for both teams as they look to gain promotion back to the Premier League. Brentford are currently staring at an ever-widening gap between themselves and the play-off places following two defeats in their last three games. The 53 points they have picked up this season means they are eight behind Middlesbrough in sixth, and they cannot afford to waste their game in hand. Cardiff on the other hand have been in superb form this season as they look to reclaim their top-flight status. After 36 games they have won 22 times, while their last five games have all ended in wins, with their last game ending in a thrilling 3-2 win over struggling Birmingham.

Wolves vs Reading

This is exactly the sort of game Wolves would have wanted after their disappointing loss at the hands of Aston Villa at the weekend. The league leaders are currently still three points clear at the top, but their advantage has been cut massively in recent weeks. Just one win in their last five is not the sort of form they were showing earlier in the season, while they have only kept one clean sheet in their last six matches, but they will feel that struggling Reading constitutes the perfect opposition to get back to winning ways. The visitors have been poor this season as they have only won eight times this season, picking up 36 points. Four draws and a loss in their last five means they are only six points clear of the relegation zone, and they desperately need a win if they are to relieve some of the pressure they are coming under.

Ipswich vs Hull City

Ipswich have been looking to cut the gap between themselves and the sides above them as they desperately try to clinch a play-off spot this season. 15 wins in 36 games is a fairly good return, but they have only managed to score 47 goals, conceding 44 times, however, they have only conceded three goals in their last five games which means they are showing major signs of improvement defensively. The 52 points they have picked up means they are nine short of the play-off places, meaning they cannot afford to drop any more points. Hull City on the other hand have been poor this season, and their recent form means they have been slipping ever closer to the relegation zone. 36 points from 36 games means they are only six clear of Birmingham in 22nd as their current predicament continues to worsen.

Sheffield United vs Burton

Sheffield United’s last game in the Championship ended in a 0-0 draw with Ipswich as they conceded more ground on those above them. Five points separates the home side from the play-off places, but they have only been able to score five goals in their last five league games. Burton on the other hand have been in woeful form this campaign as they look more and more likely to slip down to League One. A single win in their last five is simply not good enough, while they have only scored 26 goals this season.
