Stoke City 15/8 to be relegated after appointing Paul Lambert as manager

Neil Roarty 15 Jan 2018

Stoke City have appointed Paul Lambert as their new manager and the move has not managed to convince the bookmakers that the Potters are in a better position to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

Stoke City are just 15/8 with Ladbrokes to be relegated following the announcement of Paul Lambert as their new manager.

The appointment of Paul Lambert as the Potters' new gaffer has failed to boost his team's odds of avoiding relegation and Stoke remain unchanged at 15/8 to drop down a tier.

However, Stoke fans may be able to take some solace from the fact that West Brom (11/10), Brighton (7/4) and Huddersfield (7/4) are ahead of them in the betting. Swansea appear completely dead and buried and are no bigger than 2/9 to be playing in the Championship next season.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:

"Lambert's appointment has come as somewhat of a surprise, but it's not exciting enough to help Stoke's relegation odds."
