Spain v Italy Betting Tips Explained

We have reached the business end of Euro 2017, with just four nations remaining in the hunt to lift the trophy on June 30.

Spain and Italy will know the identity of their opponents for the final by the time they kick off at 8pm BST, with England and Germany battling it out in the other semi.

The Spaniards were the only side to achieve a 100% record during the group stage, as they scored nine goals and only conceded once on the way to topping Group B.

Albert Celades’ men are now unbeaten in 12 matches – winning the last five – ahead of their third consecutive appearance in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

They are also seeking a third straight title and will be full of confidence going into the knockout stages of the tournament.

However, Italy are aiming to knock them out of stride in what will be their third semi-final in four appearances.

The Azzurrini produced the goods when it really mattered by securing a 1-0 victory over Germany to top Group C via the head-to-head permutation, and Luigi Di Biagio shall be encouraging his players to build on the momentum gained from that result.

Italy will certainly not roll over easily in Krakow but, given their current form, it is hard to see past a Spanish victory and it is certainly worth backing them to prevail here.

Spain v Italy Stats

  • The Spaniards are in the semi-finals for the third consecutive time they have appeared at the final tournament
  • Italy have reached the semi-finals in three of their four most recent appearances at the final tournament
