Juventus v Lazio (17:00 BST)

Six-time defending champions Juventus play host to capital club Lazio in the early kick off as they look to bounce back from a slip up at Atalanta last time out. The Old Lady dropped points for the first time in the league this term when Atalanta came from two goals down to tie a pulsating encounter at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia. Federico Bernardeschi and Gonzalo Higuain had put Juve ahead but Mattia Caldara pulled one back for the hosts before Bryan Cristante headed in the equaliser. Paulo Dybala subsequently had a penalty saved and that ultimately proved costly as the draw allowed Napoli to move two clear at the top of the table as the Partenopei maintained their perfect start to the campaign.

A return to winning ways is called for then but Juve will recall that Lazio's last visit to Turin did not go their way. The sides met in the Italian Super Cup in mid-August when Lazio scored a surprise 3-2 victory thanks to a last minute Alessandro Murgia winner. Ciro Immobile also netted a brace in that encounter and Lazio have continued in that vein of form in the league, winning five and losing just one - a 4-1 defeat to Napoli - of their six Serie A fixtures to date. Immobile has scored nine times in the Italian top flight this term and is second only to Dybala (10) in the scoring charts.

The Italy international has scored four in his last three outings for the club, while Dybala has failed to find the target in his last two. It's time for the latter to get back on the scoresheet then and we'll take the Argentine as an anytime scorer at the Allianz Stadium.

Roma v Napoli (19:45 BST)

Napoli will look to maintain their perfect start to the 2017/18 Serie A season when they face Roma in the Italian capital on Saturday night. Seven wins from seven outings and 25 goals in the process makes for impressive reading as the Partenopei come into Matchday 8 with a two point advantage over Juventus as the top of the standings. The Naples club seems even more determined than ever to dethrone champions Juve and claim their first Scudetto since 1990 but face a major test of their ambitions in Rome.

Roma have finished runners-up to Juventus in three of the last four seasons, have won four on the bounce in Serie A and though they trail their visitors by six points in the standings, boast a game in hand on their title rivals. A 2-0 victory at AC Milan last time out was notable not for the quality of Roma's play, but for the determination they showed to come away from such a difficult encounter with all three points. The Wolves have also been particularly miserly in defence this term and boast the second best defensive record in the division with only four conceded (Inter Milan have conceded just 3).

Napoli edged a tight encounter on their last visit to the Stadio Olimpico (2-1) but we expect Eusebio Di Francesco's side to hold the visitors this time around and for The Light Blues to drop their first points of the campaign.
