The 2017-18 Serie A season has reached its 24th round of matches on the weekend of February 9-11 and we have picked out the best bet available on each of Sunday’s six games.

Sassuolo v Cagliari – Draw @ 12/5 with SportingBet (11:30 GMT kick-off)

Sassuolo have conceded 10 goals and scored none in losing their last two matches and therefore are very difficult to back for this game at just a shade of odds-against, especially as they have fallen behind Cagliari in the table.

Cagliari won 2-0 at home to SPAL last weekend and as they have lost only one of their last five away games, they look capable of avoiding defeat again when visiting opponents who may well be short of confidence.

Chievo v Genoa – Home win @ 2/1 with BetVictor (14:00 GMT)

Genoa have unsurprisingly been made favourites for this game because they are in much better form than Chievo and enjoyed an excellent 2-1 win away to Lazio last week, but there are definitely valid reasons for siding with the home team here.

Chievo have a strong head-to-head record with only one defeat in their last six meetings with Genoa, while it is tempting to think the victory over Lazio may have been a freak result for the Rossoblu as they had scored a total of only two goals in their previous eight away matches.

Inter Milan v Bologna – Draw @ 10/3 with betway (14:00 GMT)

It’s now eight draws in their last 10 matches for Inter and four straight 1-1 scorelines in Serie A, and having given them enough chances to bounce back to winning ways we simply cannot allow them to carry any more of our money for the time being.

Sheer common sense means another stalemate has to be the best bet at a much bigger price than the Nerazzurri, albeit Bologna have played out only one stalemate in 18 games since it finished 1-1 between these clubs earlier this season.

Sampdoria v Verona – Under 2.5 goals @ 13/8 with BetBright (14:00 GMT)

With very little in the way of value to be had in the match market here with Sampdoria shorter than 1/2, we will count on relegation-threatened Verona keeping things reasonably tight.

That has been the pattern of Sampdoria’s recent games, all of their last three containing two or fewer, while backers of under 2.5 in Verona matches would have collected against Napoli and Roma to show they can be fairly solid even against the better teams in the league.

Torino v Udinese – Over 2.5 goals @ 10/11 with Coral (14:00 GMT)

In contrast to the match above, this is one that shouts ‘goals’ because they generally flow when these clubs meet – 25 in the last six meetings for a healthy average of more than four per game.

Torino have run out 3-0 winners of their last two home games and while we think it will be more difficult for them against a much-improved Udinese side, an entertaining contest looks assured.

Of their 11 previous Serie A away matches this season, Benevento have lost eight of them to nil including the last five in a row and things are unlikely to improve on their trip to the capital.

Roma had been on a poor run of form before last week’s 1-0 victory away to Verona and the confidence gained from that clean sheet should enable them to do likewise against these relegation certainties.
