Verona/Draw double chance at home to AC Milan @ 6/4 with MarathonBet (11:30 GMT kick-off)

This is the second time these clubs meet this week, with the first being Wednesday’s Coppa Italia last-16 tie at the San Siro of which the result was not known at the time of writing.

It’s safe to say this is proving to be a disappointing campaign for Milan considering their huge summer investment on new players and although new manager Gennaro Gattuso gained his first win against Bologna last weekend, it was unconvincing and Verona have shown enough improvement of late to suggest they can avoid defeat here at the very least.

Bologna v Juventus – Away win to nil @ 13/10 with Paddy Power (14:00 GMT)

Juventus are in a real fight to retain their Italian title, but have kept five consecutive clean sheets and look capable of another at Bologna while claiming three points.

The Serie A champions have been more leaky defensively on their travels this term than is usually the case, but holding Barcelona to a goalless draw in the Champions League appears to have restored their confidence and it would be a surprise if they made too much hard work of this test.

Crotone v Chievo – Home win @ 12/5 with BetVictor (14:00 GMT)

Time to go for a spot of value now and Crotone can end a run of five straight defeats by getting the better of Chievo, whom they beat at home and away last season.

A run of only one victory in their last eight matches does not exactly mark Chievo out as an outstanding bet here, especially as they have gone nearly three full games without scoring, and odds of 12/5 for a home win are simply too tempting.

Genoa/Draw double chance away to Fiorentina @ 29/20 with MarathonBet (14:00 GMT)

Fiorentina have been left behind while some of their rivals have improved this term and Genoa’s strong recent form, especially away from home, means they should be kept on side here.

The Rossoblu keep things very tight on their travels, winning their last two road games 1-0, while the Viola had won only one in six before their midweek Coppa Italia tie against Sampdoria.

Sassuolo/Draw double chance away to Sampdoria @ 8/7 with Unibet (14:00 GMT)

Sassuolo are not the most reliable team and do not appear the same force since coach Eusebio di Francesco left for Roma, but they are fancied to get something against Sampdoria.

The Neroverdi are another side who appear to save their best performances for when they travel away from home and with Sampdoria having lost their last home match against Lazio, another setback could be in store for them here.

Benevento v SPAL – Home win @ 2/1 with MarathonBet (14:00 GMT)

Could this be the day Benevento finally gain their first Serie A win at the 16th time of asking? To be honest, if it doesn’t come against SPAL then it probably never will!

Benevento goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli famously claimed their first point with a last-gasp goal against AC Milan in their last home game and with SPAL successful only once in their last 15 games, and beaten in 10 of those, there could be more wild celebrations here.

Atalanta v Lazio – Home win @ 7/5 with MarathonBet (19:45 GMT)

Lazio have not been the same force since the latest international break and could be set for another defeat against in-form Atalanta.

Winners of a tough Europa League group, Atalanta’s home form has been their strength this term, especially in defence, and they are fancied to edge out their opponents from the capital.
