The 2017-18 Serie A season has reached its 23rd round of matches on the weekend of February 3-5 and we have picked out the best bet available on each of Saturday’s two games.

Sampdoria vs Torino – Draw @ 5/2 with Coral (17:00 GMT kick-off)

Regular readers will know Sampdoria have done us a couple of favours recently by achieving positive results against Roma, taking four points from their two Serie A meetings within four days with the team from the capital including a 1-0 away win last weekend.

But we also got Torino spot-on when they won their latest game 3-0 against Benevento and as they are in such good form themselves, with only one defeat in 14 games, we fancy them to claim a point on their trip to Genoa.

Former Watford manager Walter Mazzarri is now in charge of the Maroons and has made a very encouraging start, with that sole loss since October coming at home to Serie A leaders Napoli to show Torino are proving very strong on the road just now.

Sampdoria are particularly effective on their own pitch with only Juventus having won more home matches this term, but Torino have lost only twice on their travels in the league and look decent value to maintain that record.

Inter Milan to win at home to Crotone and under 3.5 goals in the match @ Evens with Ladbrokes (19:45 GMT)

Inter have remarkably drawn seven and lost the other two of their last nine matches, not having tasted victory since December 3, but surely they will get back on track against Crotone.

The Nerazzurri have a favourable run of February fixtures before the next Milan derby early next month and that is exactly what they need to build confidence as they seek a return to the Champions League, with the goals having dried up for Luciano Spalletti’s misfiring side.

Apart from bringing in Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez and Barcelona midfielder Rafinha on loan, the January transfer window was all about departures for Inter but we still expect them to win this game even though striker Mauro Icardi is reported to have picked up a knock in training.

Crotone are battling against relegation because they simply do not score enough goals and have the joint worst defensive record away from home, so this looks set up for Inter to placate their increasingly frustrated supporters by ending their two-month wait for a win.
