Hamilton Academical v Dundee predictions & betting tips – Saturday 15:00 BST

Hamilton Academical suffered a fourth straight defeat last weekend and that means they simply have to better Inverness’ result on the final day of the season to have a second shot at survival via the play-offs. I believe they are going to need a favour to ensure they finish second from bottom because I fancy Dundee to leave with a share of the spoils. Despite last weekend’s shock defeat to Inverness they have been in good form under new boss Neil McCann and they have won each of their last two away games. They can make it a very nervous afternoon for their hosts.

Inverness CT v Motherwell predictions & betting tips – Saturday 15:00 BST

Inverness CT’s situation is rather simple – they have to win to have a chance at climbing off the bottom and giving themselves another chance of staying in the top flight through the play-offs. I have a feeling they will get the three points they need. That win over Dundee will have given them a massive lift and they have now won two of their last three games, so that will give them some confidence going into a meeting with a Motherwell side that have won their last two but may have one eye on their holidays on Saturday.

Kilmarnock v Ross County predictions & betting tips – Saturday 15:00 BST

The winner of this match will determine who tops the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership standings, and I am going with Kilmarnock to leapfrog the visitors on the final day. Lee McCulloch’s team have been hit and miss over the last few weeks, but on the whole their home form has been decent with one defeat in their last five games and they have beaten Ross County at home already this season.

Celtic v Hearts predictions & betting tips – Sunday 12:30 BST

Celtic are just one game away from completing an unbeaten league season and two away from going an entire domestic campaign without suffering a single defeat. For that first achievement they have to beat Hearts on the final day of the season and there is absolutely no way I am going to go against that happening. The Hoops have been in simply devastating form at home, dropping points in just two league games at Celtic Park, and this is a Hearts team that have lost 10 of their 18 away games and won just two of their last 16 competitive fixtures. Celtic should win this match and they should win it comfortably.

Partick Thistle v Aberdeen predictions & betting tips – Sunday 12:30 BST

Aberdeen bounced back from the defeat to Celtic with a 2-1 win at Aberdeen in midweek, reiterating their status as the second best team in Scotland, and they should wrap up their league campaign with a victory at Partick Thistle on Sunday – the perfect warm-up for the Scottish Cup Final showdown with Celtic a week later. The Dons have won seven of their last eight competitive away games and they have more than enough about them to beat a Partick side that was crushed 5-0 in midweek and have taken just one point from their last five games.

St Johnstone v Rangers predictions & betting tips – Sunday 12:30 BST

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha received further evidence that a major overhaul is needed at Ibrox after the defeat to Aberdeen in midweek, but the Portuguese will be eager to see his side sign off in a positive fashion on Sunday. I do not expect that to happen. St Johnstone have already taken points in two of their three previous meetings with Rangers – with their sole defeat coming via a single goal in a five-goal match – and they can take something from this match with the Gers too.
