Marseille v Lille (16:00 BST)

Marseille remain hot on the heels of the top three following last weekend’s win at Troyes and they go into this weekend knowing that a victory against relegation-threatened Lille could see them climb into the Champions League qualifying spots. Marseille’s recent home form has not been great, Lille have been dire on their travels this season so this is a good opportunity for L’OM to keep the heat on the top three with a straightforward win.

Amiens v Strasbourg (19:00 BST)

Amiens have put some breathing room between themselves and the relegation with two wins from their last three games, and they have now taken points in three of their last four home games to aid their battle against the drop. Visitors Strasbourg, meanwhile, are looking over their shoulders at the bottom three after their winless run hit eight games, and I do not see that sequence ending here because they have not won on their travels for over four months.

Bordeaux v Paris St Germain (19:00 BST)

Paris St Germain have already wrapped up the French title and now they have set their sights on smashing the 100-point barrier. They should move three points closer to that target with a win at mid-table Bordeaux on Saturday, and it should be a game that sees a few goals. After all, PSG’s 33 league games this season have produced a combined 126 goals for an average of almost four goals per game.

Guingamp v Monaco (19:00 BST)

Monaco need a couple more wins to wrap up second place and a spot in next season’s Champions League, and next up for them is a trip to face a Guingamp side that have been decent at home this season, collecting points in 13 of their 17 outings. However, Monaco mauled Guingamp 6-0 at the Stade Louis II, and I am backing the visitors to complete the double with another win on Saturday.

Metz v Caen (19:00 BST)

Rock-bottom Metz are running out of time in their fight for survival – they are five points from safety with just five games left on their schedule. They did record a massive 2-1 win at Rennes last time out and I believe they can make it back-to-back wins at the expense of a Caen side that have managed only seven goals on their travels this season. Metz have struggled for goals though, so go Metz Draw No Bet for a spot of insurance.

Nice v Montpellier (19:00 BST)

Nice and Montpellier are merely playing for pride in Saturday’s game, because neither club can make a late charge for European football. If I am backing a winner here I would have to go with the home side because there will be some expectation from the home fans to win the game, but Montpellier’s solid away record means Nice Draw No Bet may be the safest play here.

St Etienne v Troyes (19:00 BST)

Troyes are one point from safety with just five games to go so a win this weekend could see them climb out of the bottom three – but can we really expect them to leave St Etienne with all three points? The home side have been a tough nut to crack at home in recent seasons and when they have won games recently they have kept a clean sheet, so St Etienne to win to nil is my pick for this one.

Toulouse v Angers (19:00 BST)

Toulouse are hovering dangerously above the relegation zone and that means the pressure is piling up on them to collect some more points from their final five outings. They have taken just four from their last eight games though and their visitors on Saturday, Angers, have now taken at least a point from 10 of their 16 away games. Another draw could be on the cards for Toulouse this weekend.
