Ladbrokes cut Darren Moore's odds of being appointed permanent West Brom manager in half following win over Manchester United

Neil Roarty 16 Apr 2018

Ladbrokes have been forced to cut Darren Moore's odds of being named the next permanent West Bromwich Albion manager from 12/1 to 6/1 following a slew of bets after the Baggies 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Ladbrokes have slashed the odds of Darren Moore taking over West Brom on a permanent basis, now making him a genuine contender for the vacancy.

The caretaker boss has taken four points from a possible six, and following the Baggies' shock victory over Man United last weekend, his odds of taking over were cut by the bookies from 12/1 to just 6/1.

That puts him firmly among the frontrunners, while Mick McCarthy remains the 2/1 favourite ahead of Patrick Kluivert (5/1) and Michael Appleton (6/1).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:

"Baggies fans must be wondering what might've been had Big Dave have taken over a month or two back - but if the latest odds are anything to go by, they could be seeing more of Moore next season."

Next WBA manager

Mick McCarthy - 2/1
Patrick Kluivert - 5/1
Darren Moore - 6/1
Michael Appleton - 6/1
Dean Smith - 7/1
Derek McInnes - 7/1
Craig Shakespeare - 8/1
Paul Cook - 14/1
Graham Potter - 16/1
Nigel Pearson - 16/1
