Jose Mourinho has seen his odds of leaving Manchester United slashed to 20/1 following his team's embarrassing defeat at the hands of West Brom at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Premier League is watched around the world for a number of reasons. The calibre of players is incredibly high, with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne just a few of the top players. The league produces some incredibly exciting football as the end-to-end style keeps fans on the edge of their seats, but for most, it is the promise of shocking results, and that is exactly what happened on Sunday evening.

Manchester United went into the game as clear favourites but, in classic United style, they went down 1-0 to the league’s bottom side. This saw Manchester City lift the Premier League trophy following one of the most shocking results, with many probably backing United to easily beat the relegation-threatened side.

It was just another failure in what has been a very tough season for Jose Mourinho. It should be cited though, that he seems to be leading them towards a second-placed finish in the league, but an insipid loss to Sevilla in the Champions League along with not ever really threatening to chase City down in the league has seen some ill feeling towards the manager, and the loss at home to West Brom will not win him any fans.

The latest defeat has seen Mourinho’s odds of getting the sack slashed. The Portuguese is now 20/1 to be the next manager to get sacked with Betway after being 50/1 with the same bookmaker on April 2nd. Could Mourinho get sacked despite leading his side to second-place? Crazier things have happened, indeed, the bottom side beating United at Old Trafford is probably one such example of this.

Betway’s odds of the next manager to leave:

No manager to leave 4/6
Antonio Conte 11/10
David Moyes 20/1
Jose Mourinho 20/1
Pep Guardiola 100/1
