Manchester United's top four odds have been cut after they beat Premier League leaders Chelsea but the bookmakers still think that Jose Mourinho's men will miss out on a Champions League place this season.
Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ander Herrera helped Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday and BetVictor
responded to the win by cutting the Red Devils to 7/2 from 6s to achieve a top four finish in the Premier League this season.
Those odds may appeal to some punters as United are now just four points behind Manchester City and six behind Liverpool but with a game in hand on both. The Reds and Blues have six game remaining while United have seven before the end of the season.
BetVictor spokesperson Jack Milner told Bettingpro:
"Jose Mourinho's side were eased out to 6/1 for a top-four berth after the wins of Manchester City and Liverpool earlier in the weekend however, the 2-0- defeat of Champions-elect Chelsea sees them just four points behind their 'noisy neighbours', with a game in hand, and they are now 7/2 to pip either City or Liverpool to a top-four berth."
Meanwhile, Chelsea have been pushed out to 1/8 to win the title and Spurs cut to 9/2 after the Blues slip-up at Old Trafford. The odds suggest that Chelsea will still be crowned champions although the bookies respect the fact that Spurs have won their last seven Premier League matches and are now just four points behind the leaders.
