The 2017-18 La Liga season has reached its 25th round of matches on the weekend of February 23-26 and we have picked out the best bet available on each of Sunday’s four games.

Villarreal vs Getafe – Away win @ 18/5 with Ladbrokes (11:00 GMT kick-off)

We will start off with what looks a terrific value bet because Villarreal have failed to win any of their last three La Liga matches and been struggling to keep clean sheets, which gives Getafe a good chance of completing the seasonal double over them.

Getafe, who dished out a 4-0 drubbing to the Yellow Submarine in the reverse fixture, have been keeping things very tight at the back recently with three consecutive shutouts and after a 3-0 triumph at home to Celta Vigo on Monday they look a huge price to follow up at El Madrigal.

Athletic Bilbao vs Malaga – Home win and under 3.5 goals in the match @ 6/5 with Ladbrokes (15:15 GMT)

Malaga’s wretched season is showing no signs of improving and last weekend’s defeat at home to Valencia made it seven losses and two draws in their last nine games – they have not won since December 10 and look doomed to relegation.

Athletic Club, as they prefer to be known, will therefore be very confident of beating their visitors even though their own form is not the best having drawn too often recently, and this is expected to be something of a workmanlike success for the Basque side.

Real Sociedad/Draw double chance away to Valencia @ 11/10 with Betfair Sportsbook (17:30 GMT)

Valencia have put behind them a run of six straight defeats with back-to-back wins, but even though Real Sociedad will have just returned from a Europa League trip to Salzburg in Austria we think they can deny Los Che a third consecutive victory.

Marcelino Garcia Toral’s side were perhaps a shade fortunate to beat bottom club Malaga last time out as they trailed for more than half of the match and needed a late penalty to claim maximum points, while Sociedad boosted their confidence with an easy win against Levante.

Sevilla held Manchester United to a draw in the Champions League this week and may well be able to do likewise against an Atletico side they recently beat in both legs to reach the Copa del Rey final.

Atletico will want revenge for that setback and must also feel they are still in with a chance of catching La Liga leaders Barcelona, whom they trailed by seven points going into the weekend, but Sevilla’s form has improved enough recently for us to want to keep them on side here.
