LA Galaxy will look to continue their dominance of the Cali Clásico when they host San Jose Earthquakes at the StubHub Center on Sunday night in the MLS.

LA Galaxy v San Jose Earthquakes kicks off at 0000 BST on Monday, May 23. Watch & bet on live streaming football at bet365 > sports > live streaming football

The Galaxy are unbeaten at home against their Northern California rivals since the 2012 season, boasting a 3-0-2 record in the intervening period and having scored 13 and conceded five.

LA's last loss to San Jose on their own turf came in the 2012 Western Conference semi-final first leg in a series that Galaxy ultimately went on to win.

Bruce's Arena's charges have tasted defeat to the Earthquakes just once in their last 10 meetings home and away, with that loss coming at the Avaya Stadium (1-0) last season.

And defender A.J. DeLaGarza puts their recent success against their bitter rivals, particularly in front of their own fans, down to the team's loyal following.

“When San Jose comes here, we know that our fans get up for it and how passionate they are for this game. We know how crazy the games can be, and we make sure to come prepared,” DeLaGarza said.

“When you play a rival, it's usually a team you really hate and I really hate San Jose.”

The hosts come into this clash in fine fettle as they are unbeaten in eight in the league thanks to a 2-2 draw at Philadelphia Union in midweek.

Los Angeles are the highest scorers in the Western Conference so far this season despite playing less fixtures than their rivals with 24 in the for column after 10 outings.

Republic of Ireland international Robbie Keane made a welcome return from injury earlier in the month to boost their striking options and marked his comeback with a brace in a 4-2 victory over New England. That leaves the Irishman with four goals in five league appearances this term and though he failed to add to that tally against Philadelphia, we fancy him to get on scoresheet this weekend (8/11 @ Paddy Power).

San Jose, meanwhile, come into the clash on the back of a 3-1 victory over Houston Dynamo last time out. They are one point and one place below LA in the standings on 18 points in fifth but look set for their fourth league loss of the campaign here.
