Jose Mourinho into 7/1 to be next Premier League manager to go

The 2018/19 Premier League campaign gets underway in just over a week’s time, and bookmaker Coral and its punters believe Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho may not see out the entire campaign at Old Trafford.

Mourinho has publicly criticised his players and tore into the club’s efforts in the transfer market in recent weeks, and more pressure was piled on the Portuguese in the wake of a dreadful 4-1 friendly defeat at the hands of Liverpool at the weekend.

This sort of behaviour has resulted in his departure from several clubs in the past, most notably Chelsea a couple of years ago, and bookmaker Coral believes we could be seeing the beginning of the end for the ‘Special One’ in Manchester.

Mourinho is now the 7/1 second favourite in the ‘Next Premier League Manager To Leave’ market, behind only 6/1 favourite Javi Gracia of Watford, and he is as short as 6/5 to have left United before the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

“The pressure is already starting to build on Jose Mourinho and we’ve seen a lot of punters backing the Manchester United manager to be the first Premier League boss to leave his job this season,” Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told Bettingpro.com.

“An indifferent start for Jose this season could see it all start to unravel and a pre-Christmas P45 certainly isn’t out of the question.”

Latest Coral Odds

6/5 Jose Mourinho to have left Manchester United before the end of the season
