Mourinho was finally given his marching orders by the Red Devils, in response to a 3-1 defeat t Liverpool, and despite being linked with several posts already bookmaker 888Sport is just 1/2 that ‘The Special One’ does not return to management by January 1, 2020.

“Jose Mourinho better get practicing his golf,” a spokesperson for 888Sport told Bettingpro.com. “We don’t think the sacked Manchester United manager will get a job within the next year.”

Former employers Inter Milan are reportedly interested in reunion with Mourinho and it is 5/1 that he returns to the Italian club for his next job, with moves to Bayern Munich and AC Milan priced up at 13/2 and 8/1 respectively.

“While a reunion with Inter Milan may be most likely, Mourinho surely won’t be too worried if he’s without work for too long, with his reported £24m payoff from United likely to keep the wolf from the door,” the spokesperson added.
