Italy v Germany Betting Tips Explained

Italy need to collect all three points against Germany, while winning by at least three goals to stand any chance of qualifying for the semi-finals of Euro 2017.

After opening with a routine 2-0 victory over Denmark, the Italians were brought back down to earth following a 3-1 defeat by Czech Republic on Wednesday – leaving their Last-Four hopes hanging in the balance.

The Azzurrini, who have now won just two of their last seven matches, can still finish top of Group C with a win by three or more goals, but also need the Danes to do them a favour by denying the Czechs in the other game on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a point will be enough for Germany to seal first place and book their semi-final berth.

The Germans are buoyant after scoring five goals without reply in their opening two matches. Despite being held for 45 minutes by Denmark on Wednesday, second-half goals from Davie Selke, Marc-Oliver Kempf and Nadiem Amiri eventually secured a commanding 3-0 win.

Stefan Kuntz’s men have now won three of their last four matches, while each of the last six games involving them have resulted in a win to nil.

It promises to be a tight match at the Stadion Miejski with both nations having everything to play for. Therefore, it may be worth a punt on a stalemate in Krakow, which would be enough to see the Germans through to the Last Four.
