Granada v Real Betis Betting Tips Explained

Granada’s fight to avoid relegation suffered another setback earlier this week as they were hammered 4-0 at Eibar, leaving them five points from safety heading into this latest round of fixtures in La Liga. Lucas Alcaraz’s side desperately need to bounce back by taking something from Friday night’s clash with Real Betis – but can they?

Real Betis have lost just one of their last five games in La Liga, but they have slipped to 13th in the table because they have only won once in that time too. They go into this match having lost each of their last three league games and manager Victor Sanchez will be keen to see his side return to winning ways before they slide further down the table and find themselves in a possible relegation scrap.

I do not fancy their chances here. Granada may be in the relegation zone – six places and11 points behind the visitors – but their recent home form has actually been pretty decent. They have lost just one of their last six home games and their last two outings at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes have produced four points thanks to a draw against Osasuna and win over Las Palmas. Real Betis, meanwhile, having been dreadful on their travels this season, winning two and losing seven, so there is a very good chance Granada will take something from this.

The match is likely be a low-scoring affair though. Granada are the second-lowest scoring side in the Spanish top flight and they have managed just eight goals in front of their own supporters. Real Betis have managed just eight goals on their travels, so I would be shocked if we saw more than two goals in Friday night’s clash.
