Germany v Chile Predictions

Germany v Chile Betting Tips Explained

This promises to be the biggest match of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup so far, with two of the best nations in world football going head to head at the Kazan Arena.

The encounter will also go a long way to determining who will top Group B after both teams enjoyed winning starts on matchday one.

Lars Stindl, Julian Draxler and Leon Goretzka were all on target for the new-look German side in their narrow 3-2 victory over Australia on Monday.

Draxler, who is captaining Die Mannschaft in the absence of Manuel Neuer, has now found the net in each of his last two appearances, and it may be worth a punt on him making it three on the bounce at any time here.

Joachim Low’s men may have been hanging on towards the end against the Socceroos, but the result will have given them plenty of confidence ahead of taking on Chile.

The Germans are now unbeaten in 11 matches while you have to go back to the 2010 FIFA World Cup for the last time they tasted defeat in the group stages of a major tournament, but this will be a real test of their credentials.

Despite been frustrated by Cameroon for the majority of the contest, goals from Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas in the last 10 minutes eventually secured a 2-0 win for Chile on Sunday.

Like Draxler, Vargas has also scored in each of his last two international appearances and, with Marcelo Salas’ national record in sight, he will be confident of adding to that by breaking the deadlock in Kazan.

La Roja have now won three of their last five matches, while losing just once in seven group-stage encounters at major tournaments, and Juan Antonio Pizzi will be urging his players to build on their momentum.

Feeling confident and boasting more experience on the whole, the Chileans are the favourites for this clash and it is worth a punt on them claiming a narrow victory on Thursday.
