The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup has come all the way down to the final with Germany and Chile battling it out for the right to be crowned champions on Sunday. Here, we take a closer look at both countries and the current outright odds to lift the trophy.

Germany Outright Odds

Odds: 3/4

The World champions not looked out of place at all in Russia, despite Joachim Low selecting a fairly new-look squad with tournament experience ahead of next year's World Cup the priority.

After topping Group B with seven points from nine, they ran riot against Mexico in the semi-finals - scoring twice in the first eight minutes before eventually sealing a comfortable 4-1 victory.

The only real negative has been that they have looked a little vulnerable at the back without the presence of Manuel Neuer - conceding in every game so far - and Low will be urging them to tighten up ahead of Sunday's final with Chile.

Nevertheless, Die Mannschaft will be confident and, as we have seen so often in the past, it is very rare that they get it wrong at major tournaments, so do not be surprised to see these players deliver the goods and lift the trophy.

Chile Outright Odds

Odds: Evens

The back-to-back Copa America champions had plenty of momentum ahead of their tournament debut, which they marked by going all the way to the final.

Talisman Alexis Sanchez made history in the hard-fought 1-1 draw with Germany by becoming his country's all-time leading scorer outright and, with the pressure of that achievement off his back, the Arsenal forward has continued to inspire La Roja.

After finishing second in Group B, the Chileans held their own against Portugal in the semi-finals for a 0-0 draw at the end of extra-time, before prevailing 3-0 on penalties with Claudio Bravo saving all three Portuguese kicks.

Having won both Copa America titles via a penalty shootout, the experience of Juan Antonio Pizzi's men was crucial towards seeing them through. Now, can they go on and lift the trophy?

Chile - Evens

As touched upon earlier, the Chileans are riding the crest of a wave after winning back-to-back Copa America titles, thus sealing a Confederations Cup debut.

They have certainly built on their momentum by going all the way to the final after seeing off Portugal on penalties in the semi-finals, but can La Roja go on and lift the trophy?

Boasting plenty of experience throughout the squad, Juan Antonio Pizzi's men have continued to demonstrate their capabilities against the top nations in both the Portuguese and Germany - holding their own on each occasion.

As expected, their hard-working and passionate approach has made them even more difficult to beat in the latter stages, and just one last big push against the Germans could well see Claudio Bravo lifting the trophy on Sunday.
