Roda JC v NAC Breda (17:30 BST)

Roda JC got their first win of the Eredivisie season at the seventh attempt prior to the international break and will look to build on that victory when NAC Breda visit Parkstad Limburg Stadion on Saturday evening. Their 2-1 triumph at Sparta Rotterdam helped The Miners to climb off the foot of the Dutch top flight table and above Willem II, but were fortunate that Sparta failed to capitalise on their domination of that game. Next up are fellow strugglers Breda whose loss at home to ADO Den Haag last time out was their fourth of the campaign. The visitors had won two on the bounce prior to that defeat, though, including a 2-0 victory at defending champions Feyenoord and we're expecting them to rediscover that winning mentality here.

Ajax v Sparta Rotterdam (17:30 BST)

Ajax play host to Sparta Rotterdam at Amsterdam Arena on Saturday evening looking to build on their much needed win at Heerenveen (4-0) last time out. Dropped points away to ADO Den Haag (1-1) and at home to Vitesse (2-1) in their previous two league fixtures had left the Ajacieds trailing top of the table PSV Eindhoven by five points and they could ill afford another slip up. The gap remains five but with PSV not in action until Sunday away to Venlo, should be reduced to two. Sparta have just one win to their name in the Eredivisie this season and have lost three on the bounce in the Dutch top flight. They come into this clash sitting two places and two points above bottom of the table Willem II and it's difficult to see anything other than a heavy defeat for them in Amsterdam.

Feyenoord v PEC Zwolle (19:45 BST)

After making a flying start to their title defence, Feyenoord came up short when faced with their first major test of the campaign as they were felled by PSV Eindhoven (1-0) on Matchday 5. A second consecutive loss followed with a 2-0 defeat at home NAC Breda and a morale boosting win was called for when De Stadionclub faced AZ prior to the international break. That victory was duly delivered in emphatic fashion and Feyenoord appear to be back on track for a successful title defence. Their 4-0 triumph in Alkmaar leaves Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men sitting just three points behind leaders PSV, though visiting PEC Zwolle are just a point behind the Rotterdammers in fourth. Zwolle have tasted defeat just once in the league this term and should be a tough nut to crack but with the likes of Steven Berghuis, Sam Larsson and Tonny Vilhena in fine form for Feyenoord, we expect the hosts to have enough to comfortably see off their opponents.

Utrecht v Heerenveen (19:45 BST)

Heerenveen's solid start to the 2017/18 Eredivisie campaign came to an abrupt halt on Matchday 7 when they were up against an in-form Ajax side and subsequently finished of the wrong side of a 4-0 scoreline. The Super Frisians had been unbeaten in the league prior to that encounter thanks their record of four wins and two draws. They've dropped to fifth in the standings as a result of that loss but can make a swift return to winning ways at Utrecht as their hosts have struggled to get going this term and come into the clash on the back of a three game winless streak. Utrecht took a point from fellow top four hopefuls Vitesse last time out but didn't exactly do so in style in what could only be described as a bore draw, so we're backing an away win here.
