REVEALED: Did Man City’s 6-0 FA Cup Final rout of Watford bash the bookies?

Manchester City equalled the biggest FA Cup Final win ever as they blew away Watford on Saturday evening, but did the bookmakers take a beating as the Premier League champions ran riot at Wembley Stadium?

Unsurprisingly the bookmakers were fully behind City completing their treble quest with an FA Cup Final victory over Watford, but the manner in which Pep Guardiola’s side blew away the Hornets was something else.

Raheem Sterling was the star of the show as he helped himself to a hat-trick in a sensational display from City, and the bookie William Hill has responded to it by installing the Manchester club as the 7/2 favourites to win next season’s competition too.

The firm has also revealed that it DID take bets on City running out 6-0 winners.

207 punters backed that scoreline at odds of 40/1, with the biggest bet, of £30, netting a £1,230 return for that customer.

The biggest bet on Manchester City winning the match in 90 minutes was £10,000 at 2/7, returning £12,857, while the biggest bet on them winning the trophy was £16,000 at 1/8, leading to a return of £18,000.
