Costa Rica v Panama Betting Tips Explained

We have reached the knockout stages of the 2017 Gold Cup, with the eight remaining nations battling it out for the right to lift the trophy on July 27.

Costa Rica and Panama are veterans at this stage of the competition. In fact, this is Costa Rica’s 10th straight appearance in the quarter-finals, where Panama are appearing for the seventh consecutive edition.

Oscar Ramirez’s will be feeling confident after topping Group A with seven points from a possible nine, with a 3-0 victory over French Guiana seeing them through thanks to goals from Ariel Rodriguez, Rodney Wallace and David Ramirez.

La Sele are now unbeaten in six matches but have failed to find the net in each of their previous two clashes with Panama, who will be eager to make it four semi-finals in a row in this event.

The Canal Men finished second in Group B as goals from Michael Murillo, Abdiel Arroyo and Gabriel Torres secured a 3-0 success over Martinique.

It was the second successive match that Torres has been on target and it may be worth a punt on him doing so again at any time on Wednesday.

As with most knockout matches in tournament football, we can expect a fairly close contest in Philadelphia.

However, given their recent experience of reaching the latter stages of the event, Panama may just have the edge and it is worth a punt on a victory in favour of the Canal Men with both teams scoring.
