Callum Wilson is just 6/5 to complete a January switch to Chelsea despite Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insisting he does not want the forward to leave “at any price”.

Wilson is enjoying his best ever season in the Premier League, scoring nine goals in 20 appearances to force his way into the England reckoning, and his form has also earned him the attention of Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri, who is desperately looking to add some firepower this month.

The Blues have been linked with a £50million move for Wilson as they look to bring in a forward, but Bournemouth boss Howe is determined to hang onto his most prized asset and has insisted that the speculation surrounding a possible deal has not turned the head of the 26-year-old forward.

“I've been told about the speculation, it's not something I seek to read,” he said. “It's a waste of time for me to do so. It's business as normal, Callum has been bright and bubbly this week so no problems there.

“In my opinion, and it's just my opinion I wouldn't sell at any price, but I'm the manager of the team trying to create the best team that I can. We desperately want to take the team forward and to do that we have got to keep our best players.

“He [Wilson] is a very important member of the team. He has unique attributes that really complement what we do here. He's been a really good goal scorer for us this season, that's the hardest things to do in the sport so we value him really highly.”

Howe may be determined to hang onto Wilson, but the bookmakers still believe there is a good chance that the striker will be a Chelsea player when the winter transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.

Paddy Power is just 6/5 that Wilson completes a move to Stamford Bridge before February 1st.
