Boca took full advantage of San Lorenzo's slip up last week to move top of the table as they scored a 2-1 win away to Gimnasia La Plata, while the Blue and Red could only muster a goalless draw against Banfield.

Those results leaves La Mitad Más Uno sitting two points clear at the summit of Argentina's top flight and they'll be determined to extend that advantage to five points here.

Rodolfo Arruabarrena's side were impressive against Gimnasia, dominating possession and creating a host of chances, and should really have won by more, especially with Tevez leading the attack.

The former Juventus striker will be unavailable for this weekend's encounter, though, as he is on international duty with Argentina in the United States for friendlies against Bolivia and Mexico as La Albiceleste continue their preparations for the start of South American World Cup qualifying next month.

Fernando Gago (Argentina), Nicolas Lodeiro (Uruguay) and Jose Fuenzalida (Chile) are also away with their national sides.

San Lorenzo, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from a sloppy performance against Banfield last time out and but for the heroics of goalkeeper Sebastian Torrico - who produced a superb last-gasp save from Juan Cazares - they could have come away from that contest with nothing.

They can take heart from the fact that they boast a very strong record against Boca, however, having won five of their last 10 meetings.

And with Juniors due to face bitter rivals and Copa Libertadores winners River Plate in their next fixture whilst San Lorenzo are up against Huracan, they'll fancy their chances of staying in the mix in the title hunt.

Boca have been considerably more damaged by international call-ups too, although San Lorenzo will be missing Emmanuel Mas, Nestor Ortigoza and Alvaro Montero.

Leandro Romagnoli (right knee) and Gonzalo Prosperi (right adductor) are both out injured and Emanuel Mas is suspended.
