Chonburi manager Withaya Laohakul will be looking for a much improved performance from his side at the Prince Mohammad International Stadium.

And he should get it given the Thai side are appearing in the last eight of the competition for the third time in four seasons.

They found themselves in a similar position last season as they recovered from a 1-0 first leg loss to Nasaf by winning by the same score in Uzbekistan, before being eliminated on penalties.

Chonburi will need to score at least twice in normal time on this occasion though to progress to the last four.

Laohakul told the media ahead of the match, "We expect a tough match just like the first leg which was a strong encounter between the two teams. We may have lost the first leg but we are still in contention and we must fight for victory.

"I hope that we can create a lot of scoring chances and score from them unlike the first leg when we controlled proceedings but failed to score more than one goal."

Suttinun Phukhom is expected to return for Chonburi for the clash; the influential defender was suspended for the first leg.
