X Factor done & dusted? Dalton Harris looking unstoppable after Shan’s shocking departure

Dalton Harris is the runaway favourite to win X Factor after Shan made a shocking exit from the ITV show.

Shan made X Factor betting history when she became the shortest priced contestant ever seen during the audition stage, and while she had been upstaged by Dalton since the live broadcasts began she was still widely expected to at least make it to the final.

However, in one of the biggest upsets in the show’s history she was eliminated by the general public this weekend after Ayda Field controversially opted against sending Acacia & Aliyah, and when the decision was read out show supremo Simon Cowell looked absolutely shell-shocked.

There was nothing he could do about it though and as far as the bookmakers are concerned, the X Factor boss may as well just cancel the rest of the series and hand the winner’s prize to Dalton.

The talented 24-year-old has wowed the judges and the British public week after week to force the bookmakers to cut his odds repeatedly, and having been an 8/11 favourite last week he is now all the way into 2/7 to win X Factor 2018 at Ladbrokes.

Anthony Russell is considered his main rival after staying at 6/1, while Scarlett Lee’s chances of winning the show appear to have taken a massive hit after seeing her odds plummet from 4/1 to 8/1 in the wake of the latest broadcasts.

Danny Tetley has come into 25/1 from 50/1 to put him ahead of 33/1 shot Brendan Murray, while Acacia & Aliyah are now propping up the betting at 50/1 after that controversial sing-off result.

Latest Ladbrokes Odds

X Factor Winner: 2/7 Dalton Harris, 6/1 Anthony Russell, 8/1 Scarlett Lee, 25/1 Danny Tetley, 33/1 Brendan Murray, 50/1 Acacia & Aliyah.
