WWE Payback 2017 Predictions

WWE Payback 2017 betting odds

Bookmaker Paddy Power is offering odds for every single match-up at WWE Payback, including the main event showdown between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns. The bookmaker is predicting victory for Strowman, but who else is the Irish firm backing for success? Here is a full rundown of the WWE Payback 2017 betting odds…

Latest Paddy Power Odds:

1/2 Braun Strowman; 6/4 Roman Reigns

5/6 Randy Orton; 5/6 Bray Wyatt

4/9 Seth Rollins; 13/8 Samoa Joe

WWE United States Championship: 1/7 Kevin Owens; 4/1 Chris Jericho

WWE RAW Tag Team Championship: 1/2 The Hardy Boyz; 6/4 Cesaro & Sheamus

WWE RAW Women’s Championship: 1/2 Alexa Bliss; 6/4 Bayley

WWE Cruiserweight Championship: 4/6 Neville; 11/10 Austin Aries

4/7 Big Cass & Enzo Amore; 6/5 Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

WWE Payback 2017 Betting Tips Explained

The return of the Hardy Boyz got one of the biggest reactions of WrestleMania 33. There had been a lot of speculation that Matt & Jeff were heading back to WWE following their departure from Impact Wrestling and the rumours turned out to be true when they were inserted into the RAW Tag Team Championship Ladder match at the last minute – a match they would win. They have immediately become one of the most popular acts on Monday Night RAW and I see no reason why they should drop the titles to Cesaro and Sheamus, with this match likely to be the start of a spilt between the ‘Swiss Superman’ and the ‘Celtic Warrior’.

The card will also see Smackdown Live star Randy Orton appear on a RAW PPV in order to settle his feud with Bray Wyatt, who he beat for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. The pair will meet in a “House of Horrors” match, but the most important thing you need to know is that this is a non-title match. Therefore Orton can lose without surrendering the title and I expect that to happen – via some shenanigans of some sorts. An appearance from Jinder Mahal or Erick Rowan would not be a surprise here.

My final selection means upsetting the bookmakers. Paddy Power may have made Braun Strowman its odds-on favourite for the clash with Roman Reigns, but I do not see ‘The Monster Among Men’ winning the bout. Reigns just beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania and sent the legendary ‘Deadman’ into retirement. It makes no sense for Reigns to lose his very next PPV outing – even if that does upset some of the fanbase. Reigns wins this, but Strowman may well ‘get his heat back’ after the bell.
