Ladbrokes stop taking bets on White Christmas for first time ever

  • A look at the White Christmas 2015 betting odds to see the chances of snow on Xmas Day
  • Aberdeen deemed most likely to see snowfall on December 25 by bookmakers

The bookies prices suggest that it won't be a White Christmas anywhere in the UK and Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets on any snow falling on December 25 in Britain.

Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets on a White Christmas in December for the first time in their history.

In an unprecedented move in the 40 year history of weather betting the bookies are no longer displaying odds on a festive snowfall on their website due to a record lack of demand.

Instead weather watchers are now suggesting Christmas Day will be the warmest ever (5/4), while it's odds-on that London is hotter than Los Angeles on the 25th.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:

"The prospect of a White Christmas this year is over. We've never been in a position before where the only Christmas weather bets worth offering are those based on record warm temperatures and that says it all."

Ladbrokes latest betting

London to record a higher temperature than Los Angeles on December 25th 2015  5/6
December 25th 2015 to be the warmest Christmas Day ever 5/4
December peak temperature (18.3C) broken this year 1/2
