Odds drift on UK seeing White Christmas in 2017

The odds of a White Christmas being seen in 2017 have drifted over the past 24 hours, bookmaker William Hill has revealed.

Parts of the UK were blanketed with snow earlier this week and despite the fact that there is still snow on the ground in many parts of the UK, the bookies have pushed out the odds on more falling in the UK on December 25.

Having been 1/2, it is now Even money for snowfall on Christmas Day in any of the 15 cities that are being offered by William Hill.

“Some long term forecasts are beginning to predict that snow could be a no show on Christmas Day, sadly,” William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com.

The bookies believe Scotland is more likely to see a single flake of snow on Christmas Day, with Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow all available at 7/4.

Belfast, Northern Ireland is 2/1 to see snowfall on December 25, while Leeds remains the leading English city when it comes to snow, with odds of 2/1 putting it ahead of Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle, which are all priced up at 4/1.

Latest William Hill Odds

Snow On Christmas Day Odds: 7/4 Aberdeen; 7/4 Edinburgh; 7/4 Glasgow; 2/1 Belfast; 2/1 Leeds; 4/1 Birmingham; 4/1 Liverpool; 4/1 Manchester; 4/1 Newcastle; 5/1 Bristol; 5/1 Cardiff; 6/1 Dublin; 6/1 London; 6/1 Norwich; 8/1 Penzance
