Ladbrokes refund all White Christmas bets after no snow on Christmas Day 2016

There was no snow in the United Kingdom on Christmas Day 2016 but Ladbrokes have refunded all losing bets placed on a White Christmas.

Christmas Day 2016 saw no snowfall anywhere in the United Kingdom, which meant Britain's bookmakers were celebrating due to White Christmas bets losing.

Ladbrokes have, however, decided to refund all those who bet on a White Christmas. The Magic Sign are not finished there though and will also pay out on all bets placed on 2016 being the warmest Christmas on record, despite the fact that the highest temperature recorded on December 25, 2016 was 15.1C in Aberdeen (the record is 15.6C in Devon in 1920).

The bumper payout from one of Britain's biggest bookmakers is their way of giving a Christmas bonus to customers who enjoy placing fun festive wagers.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told Bettingpro:

"White Christmas punters were never given a proper run for their money this year. We're feeling festive and a little merry from all the sherry, and have decided to refund all wagers as well as paying out on it being the warmest ever December 25th."

Anyone without a Ladbrokes account can register using promotion code G30 to claim £30 in free bets when placing a £10 bet.
