Guns N’ Roses are odds-on to headline Glastonbury next year, according to bookmaker William Hill.

Glastonbury 2016 may have only just ended, but already bookmakers are looking ahead to 2017 and it is no surprise because founder Michael Eavis already has his headliners lined up – and it has been that way for almost a year!

During an appearance at an awards ceremony last year Eavis let slip that the headliners for 2016 and 2017 had been confirmed, and William Hill is confident one of those acts for next year is legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses.

Back in April band members Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan and Dizzy Reed played together for the first time in almost 23 years, with footage of the intimate gig at a famous Los Angeles venue leaking online despite phones being banned.

As you can see, GNR tore the house down at The Troubadour that night and since then they have embarked on the “Not In This Lifetime Tour” that will see them play major sports stadiums across the United States between late June and late August.

William Hill believe they will be heading to the United Kingdom in 2017 and are 8/11 that Axl & Co. are one of the headline acts for Glastonbury 2017.

Kasabian are 5/4 to fill one of the top slots, with Radiohead and The Stone Roses 2/1 ahead of 3/1 shots, The Foo Fighters, and 5/1 bet, the Manic Street Preachers.

“After yet another successful Glastonbury, all thoughts will already be turning towards 2017’s festival,” William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com.
“It looks likely that a couple of recently reformed bands – Guns N’ Roses and The Stone Roses – may be headlining the Pyramid Stage next summer.”

Latest William Hill odds:

To headline any night at Glastonbury 2017: 8/11 Guns N’ Roses; 5/4 Kasabian; 2/1 Radiohead; 2/1 The Stone Roses; 3/1 Foo Fighters; 5/1 Manic Street Preachers; 6/1 Red Hot Chilli Peppers; 7/1 Rihanna; 8/1 Bruce Springsteen; 8/1 Calvin Harris; 8/1 Mumford and Sons; 12/1 AC/DC; 12/1 Ed Sheeran; 12/1 Justin Bieber; 12/1 Justin Timberlake; 12/1 Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds; 12/1 The Prodigy; 12/1 The Who; 14/1 BAR
