REVEALED: Find out how the bookies have reacted to the first Dancing On Ice episode of 2019

The first live episode of Dancing On Ice is in the books and the bookmakers believe we could be in for a much more competitive series than the one witnessed when the show returned to ITV a year ago.

Former X Factor and I’m A Celebrity star Jake Quickenden proved to be a serious cut above the rest of the 2018 line-up as he skated off with the trophy a year ago, but following the first broadcast of 2019 the bookies believe we may not see a runaway winner this time around.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan is the early 9/4 joint favourite alongside ex-Love Island contestant Wes Nelson, but there are no less than six celebrities at 12/1 or shorter following Sunday night’s broadcast.

Actor and presenter Richard Blackwood is 5/1 to win Dancing On Ice with William Hill, while the bookmaker has priced up former Eurovision contestant Saara Alto as an 8/1 dark horse alongside former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.

Former Westlife singer turned television presenter Bryan McFadden and Coronation Street star Jane Danson are also considered dark horses at 10/1 and 12/1 respectively, while the bookies seemingly believe that the rest of the line-up – at 20/1 or longer – are merely making up the numbers.

Former actor Mark Little already knows that he will be taking part in a skate-off next week and at 50/1 to win the show the bookies clearly think that he is already on borrowed time alongside the likes of Loose Women star Saira Khan and Grease actress Didi Conn (66/1).

Latest William Hill Odds

Dancing On Ice Winner: 9/4 James Jordan, 9/4 Wes Nelson, 5/1 Richard Blackwood, 8/1 Saara Alto, 8/1 Melody Thornton, 10/1 Bryan McFadden, 12/1 Jane Danson, 20/1 Gemma Collins, 33/1 Ryan Sidebottom, 50/1 Mark Little, 66/1 Saira Khan, 66/1 Didi Conn.
