All change! Find out who has replaced James Jordan as favourite to win Dancing On Ice

Wes Nelson is the new favourite to win Dancing On Ice, but bookmakers and pundits are not exactly abandoning former favourite James Jordan.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James was the bookies’ pick heading into the series, but former Love Island star Wes has seen his odds shorten by the week and heading into last weekend’s broadcast the bookies were predicting that it would be a two-horse race won by James.

Wes finished behind both James and Melody Thornton on the leaderboard this past weekend, with his professional partner admitting it had not been a strong showing, but he continues to be a popular pick with the general public and that has not gone unnoticed by the bookmakers.

As a result Ladbrokes has trimmed his odds of winning the show from 7/4 to 11/8, and that means the reality television star is now the new favourite for the Dancing On Ice title.

James has hardly plummeted out of contention though, and he is still a leading contender despite drifting to 7/4, while former Pussycat Doll Melody has been cut from 10/1 all the way into 6/1 following her strong showing in Week 4.

Melody is now the only contestant shorter than 12s at this time, with Coronation Street star Jane Danson drifting out to that price to join boyband singer-turned television show host Brian McFadden.

Meanwhile, in the next elimination betting, the bookmakers are predicting the end for former cricketer Ryan Sidebottom after he missed last weekend’s show due to injury.

Ryan is the 5/4 favourite in the Fourth Elimination market, with television presenter Saira Khan expected to join him in the skate-off.

Saira had been the bookies’ pick to go in Week 4, but it was Grease star Didi Conn who bid farewell to the show.

The bookmakers believe that merely delayed the inevitable when it comes to the ‘Loose Women’ star, and Saira is the 7/4 second favourite to go next ahead of the 8/1 trio of Gemma Collins, Jane Danson and Saara Aalto.
