Auckland Masters Day Three Tips

James Wade v Kyle Anderson - Over 18.5 total legs @ EVS with Sportingbet

Sunday's opening Semi-Final sees world number ten Wade up against in-form Aussie Anderson in what has the makings of a close-run contest.

Wade has shown signs of a potential return to form this weekend, notably averaging 100 in a 10-7 defeat of Daryl Gurney on Saturday and will be keen to build some momentum heading into the second half of the season.

Anderson has enjoyed a memorable seven days, following up his maiden PDC title in Barnsley last Saturday with a run to the business end of a stars-studded World Series event.

The Aussie ace averaged just shy of 103 in dethroning defending champion Gary Anderson in Round One and held his nerve to edge out compatriot Simon Whitlock 10-9 in the Quarter-Finals.

He will be brimming with confidence heading in to this encounter and given his impressive scoring power, looks set to offer 'The Machine' a real run for his money, with a minimum of 19 legs over the best of 21 format the most appealing bet at even money.

Phil Taylor, the only player left in the competition to have previously won a World Series title, steps up his quest for silverware in Auckland with a grudge clash against Corey Cadby.

After rolling back the years to claim a 16th World Matchplay title a fortnight ago, Taylor is aiming to double his trophy title for the season and is the odds-on favourite to do so.

He is now bidding for revenge over emerging star Cadby - who pulled off one of the biggest shocks in World Series history when he defeated Taylor in last year's Perth Masters.

The 22-year-old has since gone on to be crowned World Youth Champion and make his World Championship debut, and after eight months away from the televised stage, has ended the hopes of Peter Wright and Michael Smith already this week.

The naturally-gifted youngster averaged 100 in seeing off Smith and will be confident he can ensure lightning strikes twice against 'The Power' as he looks to put the maestro under pressure with his clinical scoring ability.

Despite his vastly superior experience and resurgent form, this is likely to be no walk in the park for Taylor, and it's 'The King' who offers outside value in the handicaps market to win at least eight legs.
