Sri Lanka out to 19/10 to beat England after Sam Curran’s late-salvo.

Sri Lanka had England on the ropes early in the final session of day one of the second Test, with the tourists teetering on 216-8, but they once against relinquished control as Sam Curran came in and smashed a very impressive 64. This allowed England close on a far more competitive 285 all out, with Sri Lanka then closing on 26-1 after losing opener Jayan Silva in the final few overs to compound what was a disappointing day for the home team.

The way the Sri Lankans almost battled against themselves, with dropped catches and their decision to allow Curran to farm the strike, has seen their odds of winning the match drift to 19/10 with BetVictor, with England shortening to just 4/7, while a draw is 10/1.

Sri Lanka face a huge task now as the ball began to spin much more in the closing overs of the day, and England will look to utilise their spinners to knock over their opponents which, along with the fact that Sri Lanka’s confidence was clearly dented after their good start, has seen the home team drift in the betting. The Three Lions have once again emerged as the favourites for victory following another revival, with Sri Lanka struggling yet again.

BetVictor - Sri Lanka vs England 2nd Test Winner betting odds:
