5 Reasons Why You Should Back Brook To Win By Decision

  1. Kell Brook may have lost his last two fights, but there was absolutely no shame in those defeats because they came against elite-level opposition in Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr. Sergey Rabchenko is certainly not in the class of those two men.
  2. Kell Brook did stop his opponent in each of his last three victories, but in all honesty the level of opposition he faced in those fights was dreadful. While Rabchenko is no Golovkin or Spence, he is a step up in quality from the likes of Jo Jo Dan and Kevin Bizier and when you look for notable wins on Brook’s CV – like his world title win against Shawn Porter – they have tended to come courtesy of the judges’ scorecards.
  3. After those horrific facial injuries he suffered in the defeats to Golovkin and Spence, there is almost no way Brook is going to let himself get dragged into a messy brawl and there is no way he is going to recklessly go after the stoppage. Another broken eye socket would almost certainly spell the end for his professional boxing career and we all know how much he wants a big domestic scrap with Amir Khan before he hangs up the gloves. In his hometown, a solid performance should earn him the nod from the judges.
  4. Sergey Rabchenko is not an easy man to stop – in fact, the 31-year-old Belarusian has been halted just once in his career. His aggressive, relentless approach means he has to be able to take a punch and for almost all of his career he has been able to do that. He was stopped by Tony Harrison a couple of years ago, but he has rebounded with a couple of victories since then and it does not look like his punch resistance has now gone. Therefore Rabchenko sticking around for the full 12 rounds looks to be a likely outcome here.
  5. This market is available to all customers and that means the pay-out for a winning bet would come in the form of cash. A £10 stake on Kell Brook to win by decision will lead to a return of £25 if this bet is successful.
