NBA betting tips from Bettingpro.com's expert, including the best bets from San Antonio Spurs at Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic at Miami Heat.

San Antonio Spurs at Charlotte Hornets (23:00 GMT)

The Charlotte Hornets are making a final push for the eighth and last play-off berth in the Eastern Conference so they are determined to beat the San Antonio Spurs. James Borrego’s wards made it three wins in a row after pulling off a miraculous 115-114 victory at Toronto on Sunday. Jeremy Lamb’s shot from half-court went in as time expired to give the Hornets an all-important win. The Hornets (34-39) currently trail Orlando (36-38) and eighth-ranked Miami (36-37) with nine games left. Lamb and Kemba Walker are expected to lead Charlotte in this pivotal duel. It remains uncertain if Tony Parker, Nicolas Batum and Cody Zeller will suit up after missing their past few games. The Spurs (43-31) are currently tied with Oklahoma City for the last two play-off spots in the Western Conference but they are 6 1/2 games ahead of Sacramento with eight games remaining. The Kings have a tiebreak edge over the Spurs so they can’t afford to falter down the stretch. The Spurs posted a 115-96 win at Boston on Sunday to snap a two-game skid. LaMarcus Aldridge powered his way to 48 points and 13 rebounds as they handed the undermanned Celtics their fourth consecutive loss. The Hornets stung the Spurs 108-93 last January 14 to snap a four-game skid in the series and secure their first win in San Antonio since 2006. Walker led Charlotte with 33 points while Aldridge paced the hosts with 28 points and 10 rebounds. We are backing the Hornets to triumph in this duel.

Orlando Magic at Miami Heat (23:30 GMT)

Expect an intense duel between the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic at the AmericanAirlines Arena as the Florida sides are battling for the eighth and final play-off berth in the Eastern Conference. The Heat (36-37) are clinging on to eighth spot while the Magic (36-38) are just behind them. A victory for the Magic will give them a tiebreak edge over the Heat having won two of their three previous meetings this season. Miami capped a four-game trip with a 113-108 win at Washington on Saturday night. Dwyane Wade had 20 points and nine rebounds off the bench while Dion Waiters added 19 to lead Miami to their 10th win in 14 games. Wade and Waiters aren’t the only threats in the Heat’s backcourt as the club also boast of top scorer Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic. Manning Miami’s frontline are Hassan Whiteside, Kelly Olynyk and young centre Bam Adebayo, who had 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists against the Wizards. The Magic extended their winning streak to five games after beating the Philadelphia 76ers 119-98 at home on Monday. Nikola Vucevic dominated his former team by posting 28 points and 11 rebounds while Evan Fournier added 24. The two players are again out to impress in the Florida derby and they are expected to get support from Terrence Ross, Aaron Gordon and DJ Augustin. We expect a victory for the Magic.
