Houston Rockets at Oklahoma City Thunder (01:00 GMT on Friday)

The Houston Rockets had a disappointing start this season but they have slowly picked up the pieces. They next head to Oklahoma City with the aim of making it four wins in a row in their five-game trip after posting victories in Brooklyn (119-111), Chicago (96-88) and Indiana (98-94). James Harden sank five three-pointers and finished with 28 points to lead Houston (4-5) over the Pacers on Monday. Last season’s MVP will team up with Chris Paul in Houston’s backcourt while Carmelo Anthony and Clint Capela are also reliable scorers for head coach Mike D'Antoni. The bad news for Houston fans is super sub Eric Gordon could again sit out after missing their last two games with a right abductor strain. Another guard, Michael Carter-Williams, has been ruled out for the third-straight time due to illness. The Thunder (6-4), meanwhile, are coming off a 95-86 win at Cleveland on Wednesday to extend their winning run to six games. Dennis Schroeder stepped up in the absence of franchise player Russell Westbrook as he finished with a season-high 28 points. The German playmaker will again start for OKC in this game as Westbrook has yet to recover from a left ankle sprain he sustained in their game against New Orleans on Monday. Also expected to contribute for the Thunder are Paul George, Jerami Grant and Steven Adams. Oklahoma City beat Houston twice in their three meetings last season. We are backing the Rockets to beat the Thunder in this contest.

Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors (03:30 GMT on Friday)

The Golden State Warriors have been unstoppable this season and next on their hit list are the Milwaukee Bucks. The defending champions made it eight wins in a row after taming the Memphis Grizzlies 117-101 at home on Monday. Klay Thompson fired 27 points while Kevin Durant added 21 to lead the Warriors, who pulled away in the third period after dominating their opponents 34-15.
Thompson and Durant will again team up with fellow All-Star Stephen Curry as they aim to extend their winning run. Draymond Green, however, has been ruled out of this game due to a right toe injury he sustained against the Grizzlies. The Bucks (8-2), meanwhile, are determined to bounce back after suffering a 103-118 loss at Portland on Tuesday night to kick off a four-game trip. Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to lead Milwaukee in this game along with Khris Middleton, Malcolm Brogdon and Eric Bledsoe. Golden State and Milwaukee split their two meetings last season with each team winning on the road. The Bucks had lost four in a row to the Warriors before securing a 116-107 win at the Oracle Arena last March 29. Golden State, however, were without Curry and Thompson in that game. We expect a win for Golden State in Oakland.
