NBA betting tips from Bettingpro.com's expert, including the best bets from San Antonio Spurs at Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets at Houston Rockets.

San Antonio Spurs at Detroit Pistons (00:00 GMT on Tuesday)

The San Antonio Spurs head to the Motor City with the aim of extending their four-game winning streak. Led by Derrick White (19 points) and LaMarcus Aldridge (18 points), the Spurs (23-17) rolled past the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 108-88 on Saturday night. Patty Mills added 15 points for San Antonio, who are 12-3 in their last 15 games. Top scorer DeMar DeRozan was held to just 12 points but his offence was hardly needed after the Spurs took control in the second period following a sluggish start. The Pistons (17-20), in contrast, have dropped 13 of their last 17 games to slip outside the playoffs zone in the Eastern Conference.  They are coming off a 110-105 home loss to the Utah Jazz on Saturday. The defeat spoiled the 34-point effort of Blake Griffin. The athletic forward is again expected to lead the Pistons in this match-up and he will get support from Reggie Jackson, Andre Drummond and Reggie Bullock. The Spurs and Pistons split their two meetings last season but San Antonio had won six in a row in the series before Detroit finally triumphed at home last December 30, 2017. We expect the Spurs to beat the Pistons in this match-up.

Denver Nuggets at Houston Rockets (01:00 GMT on Tuesday)

Expect an exciting duel between the Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets at the Toyota Centre on Monday night. The Rockets (22-16) are coming off a 110-101 loss at Portland on Saturday that ended their six-game winning streak. James Harden paced Houston with 38 points and seven assists while Austin Rivers added 21. Clint Capela also made his presence felt by grabbing 21 rebounds to go with 13 points. Rivers, who signed with the Rockets recently after being waived by the Phoenix Suns following a trade with the Washington Wizards, is again expected to play extended minutes as Eric Gordon has been ruled out of this contest after missing their last three games with a knee injury. The Southwest Division leaders are already without ace playmaker Chris Paul (hamstring). The Western Conference-best Nuggets (26-11), meanwhile, have racked up five consecutive victories. They are coming off a 123-110 home win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday. Nikola Jokic led Denver with a season-high 39 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Head coach Michael Malone also got quality minutes from reserves Paul Millsap (18 points) and Gary Harris (17 points). The Rockets beat the Nuggets 109-99 in Denver last November 13 to extend their winning streak in the series to eight games. Six Houston players scored in double figures with Capela (24 points, 9 rebounds) and Harden (22 points, 11 assists) leading the way. Monte Morris had 19 points off the bench to pace the Nuggets, who have not won in Houston since 2015. We expect the Rockets to pull off a close win at home.
