Sacramento Kings at Philadelphia 76ers (23:00 GMT)

The Philadelphia 76ers need this win as they are neck-and-neck with the Indiana Pacers in the race for the No 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Back-to-back wins over Indiana (106-89) and Cleveland (106-99) allowed the Sixers (43-25) to keep pace with the Pacers (44-25). Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris will lead Philadelphia in this match-up but Ben Simmons is questionable after missing Thursday’s practice due to a respiratory illness. Simmons had a near triple-double effort of 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists against the Cavaliers on Tuesday while Embiid tallied 17 points, 19 rebounds and four blocks. Back-up big man Mike Scott also missed Thursday’s practice due to a respiratory illness and is doubtful in this encounter. Head coach Brett Brown will also count on JJ Redick and big man Boban Marjanovic while Jimmy Butler could return after being rested against Cleveland. The Kings (33-34), meanwhile, have fallen behind in the race for the eighth play-off spot in the Western Conference after losing two in a row and eight of their last 11 games. They head to the City of Brotherly Love after suffering a 126-120 loss at Boston on Thursday. Buddy Hield is expected to lead Sacramento in this duel after dropping 34 points against the Celtics. Helping out the Bahamian scoring machine on the offensive end are De'Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Head coach David Joerger also expects quality minutes from frontliners Willie Cauley-Stein, Nemanja Bjelica and Marvin Bagley III, who returned against the Celtics after missing five games with a knee injury. Sacramento are currently five games behind eighth-ranked Los Angeles Clippers with 15 games left in the regular season. The Kings beat the Sixers 115-108 in Sacramento last February 2 with Hield leading the hosts with 34 points. Embiid and Butler had 29 points apiece to pace the Sixers with the former also grabbing 17 rebounds. Sacramento have won three in a row and five of six against Philadelphia. However, we are backing the Sixers to triumph in this contest.

Milwaukee Bucks at Miami Heat (00:00 GMT on Saturday)

The Milwaukee Bucks are aiming to end their three-game trip with another win when they visit the Miami Heat in a potential first-round duel in the play-offs. The league leaders are coming off a 130-113 win at New Orleans to secure their third win in four games. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks (51-17) with 24 points while Khris Middleton added 23. The prolific duo are expected to get support from Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon, Brook Lopez and Nikola Mirotic. The Heat (32-35), meanwhile, are holding on to the eighth play-off spot in the Eastern Conference. They are coming off a 108-74 home win over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. They have won six of their last eight games. Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic are expected to lead Miami in this duel but Dwyane Wade is questionable due to an elbow injury. Head coach Erik Spoelstra also expects quality minutes from Hassan Whiteside, Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters and Kelly Olynyk. Miami beat Milwaukee 94-87 in South Beach last December 22 before the Bucks bounced back with a 124-86 rout in their rematch at the Fiserv Forum on January 15 to halt a six-game skid in the series. We expect the Bucks to pick up another win in the series.
