NBA betting tips from Bettingpro.com's expert, including the best bets from Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors and Charlotte Hornets at Portland Trail Blazers.

Brooklyn Nets at Toronto Raptors (00:30 GMT on Saturday)

The Toronto Raptors are aiming to avenge their earlier loss to the Brooklyn Nets this season. Brooklyn stunned Toronto 106-105 in overtime at home last December 7 to snap their 12-game losing spell against the Raptors. D'Angelo Russell scored six of his 29 points in the extra period while Jarrett Allen made the go-ahead basket with just over a minute left in the game. Kawhi Leonard had 32 points while Jonas Valanciunas added 24 to pace Toronto. Valanciunas, however, will not play in this game as he has yet to recover from a thumb injury. The Raptors (31-12) are coming off a 104-101 home win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night to extend their winning streak to three games. Leonard scored 31 points to lead the Atlantic Division leaders to their fifth win in six games. The Nets (21-22) are also doing well lately to stay in the playoffs zone in the Eastern Conference. They crushed the Hawks 116-100 at home on Wednesday with Russell leading seven Brooklyn players in double figures with 23 points. The next goal for the Nets is to secure their first win in Canada since 2015. That’s quite a challenge considering that the Raptors have lost only four times at home this season.

Charlotte Hornets at Portland Trail Blazers (03:00 GMT on Saturday)

The Portland Trail Blazers are out to extend their winning run when they welcome the Charlotte Hornets at the Moda Centre. The Blazers (25-17) made it three wins in a row after beating the Chicago Bulls 124-112 at home on Wednesday. CJ McCollum led Portland with 24 points while Jusuf Nurkic added 18. Damian Lillard shot just 4-of-12 from the field and finished with 16 points as he played through a left elbow sprain. That injury makes him questionable in this duel. The Hornets (19-21), meanwhile, continue their six-game trip after suffering a 128-109 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday. Young guard Malik Monk had 24 points off the bench to pace Charlotte as they absorbed their third loss in four games. Kemba Walker is aiming to do better in this duel after scoring just 13 points in their last game. The Blazers won both meetings against the Hornets last season and have taken three in a row and four of five in the series. The Hornets haven’t won in Portland since 2008 that’s why we are picking the Blazers to win despite Lillard’s questionable status.
