NBA Play-offs betting tips from Bettingpro.com's expert, including the best bets from Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors.

Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks (18:00 BST) - Eastern Conference Second Round Game 1

The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics begin their Eastern Conference semi-final duel at the Fiserv Forum. This is a rematch of last season’s first-round match-up that was won by the Celtics in seven games. The Celtics were seeded second then and the Bucks were ranked seventh. This time, the Bucks have a home-court edge as they own the best record in the regular season while the Celtics are seeded fourth. The Bucks swept the Detroit Pistons to reach the second round of the play-offs for the first time since 2001 when they lost to the Philadelphia 76ers in the conference finals. MVP contender Giannis Antetokounmpo is out to impress anew in the second round after averaging 26.2 points and 12 rebounds in their series against the Pistons. Expected to back up the “Greek Freak” in this match-up are Eric Bledsoe, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez. The Celtics also needed four games to dispose of the Indiana Pacers in the first round. Kyrie Irving led Boston in the series with 22.5 points and 7.8 assists. Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Morris, Al Horford and Jaylen Brown also averaged double figures in scoring. Milwaukee beat Boston twice in their three meetings in the regular season. We expect the Bucks to win Game 1.

Houston Rockets at Golden State Warriors (20:30 BST) - Western Conference Second Round Game 1

The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets kick off their Western Conference semi-final duel at the Oracle Arena. This is a rematch of last season’s conference finals that was won by the Warriors in seven games. Golden State also won their post-season duels against Houston in 2015 and 2016. Houston beat Golden State thrice in their four meetings in the regular season. The Warriors reached the second round after finally disposing of the pesky Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Kevin Durant erupted for a play-off career-high 50 points to lead the two-time defending champions to a 129-110 win in LA. Stephen Curry added 24 points while Draymond Green had a triple-double effort of 16 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists as the Warriors clinched the series four games to two. The bad news for Golden State fans is Curry and Klay Thompson are both questionable in Game 1 after suffering right ankle injuries in their last game. The Warriors are already without DeMarcus Cousins, who suffered a season-ending quadricep injury in Game 2 of their first-round series. Head coach Steve Kerr expects Green, Andre Iguodala and Kevon Looney to back up Durant in the scoring chores should Curry and Thompson miss out. The fourth-seeded Rockets, meanwhile, needed only five games to dispose of the Utah Jazz in the first round. James Harden will lead Houston against the Warriors after averaging 27.8 points and 8 assists in the first round. Head coach Mike D’Antoni also expects quality minutes from Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, PJ Tucker and Clint Capela. The Warriors are the favoured team in Game 1 but we are backing the Rockets to draw first blood in Oakland.
