Golden State Warriors at Toronto Raptors (01:00 BST on Monday)

The Toronto Raptors are aiming for a 2-0 lead over the Golden State Warriors in the NBA finals on Sunday night. The Raptors beat the Warriors 118-109 at the Scotiabank Arena on Thursday night to draw first blood in the best-of-seven series. Pascal Siakam erupted for a career play-off-best 32 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Kawhi Leonard added 23 to lead Toronto to their first ever finals win in franchise history. Siakam scored 14 points in the third period where he shot 6-of-6 from the field. Toronto’s one-two scoring punch got plenty of support from their team-mates, to the delight of head coach Nick Nurse. Marc Gasol had 20 points while Fred VanVleet added 15 off the bench. Danny Green, who along with Leonard won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, chipped in 11 points. Stephen Curry paced Golden State with 34 points while Klay Thompson had 21. Draymond Green tallied a triple-double performance of 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. They were the only Warriors to score in double figures so head coach Steve Kerr expects better performances from his other players as top scorer Kevin Durant remains out with a calf injury. The All-Star forward hasn’t played since May 8 during their Western Conference semi-final series against the Houston Rockets. Andre Iguodala, meanwhile, has been cleared to play after aggravating a left calf injury late in Game 1. The Warriors welcomed back DeMarcus Cousins, who last played in the first round of the play-offs. With momentum on their side, we are again backing the Raptors to triumph in Game 2.
