NBA betting tips from Bettingpro.com's basketball expert, including the best bets from Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets.

Boston Celtics at Brooklyn Nets (00:30 GMT on Wednesday)

The Boston Celtics extended their winning run to 12 games on Sunday despite missing Kyrie Irving. Al Horford stepped up by scoring 21 points in his return from a two-game absence due to concussion. The Celtics improved to an NBA-best 12-2 record. Irving is expected to suit up in this game but he will likely wear a protective mask after being accidentally elbowed in the face by teammate Aron Baynes in their game against Charlotte last Friday. The Nets (5-8), meanwhile, concluded their five-game trip with a 106-114 defeat at Utah last Saturday. It proved to be a double black eye for Brooklyn as leading scorer D'Angelo Russell suffered a left knee contusion that will sideline him for several games. Expected to lead the Nets in his absence are Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and DeMarre Carroll. Boston has won its last five meetings against Brooklyn. We expect the same result in this game.

Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets (01:00 GMT on Wednesday)

The Houston Rockets are on a roll and they are aiming to stay that way after their duel against the Toronto Raptors. The Western Conference leaders extended their winning run to six games after pulling off a 118-95 victory at Indiana last Sunday. James Harden is again expected to lead the Rockets (11-3) along with Eric Gordon, Ryan Anderson and Clint Capela. The Raptors (7-5), meanwhile, continue their trip after tasting a 94-95 defeat at Boston on Sunday that ended their two-game winning run. DeMar DeRozan is the No. 1 scoring threat for Toronto while Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka can also deliver on the offensive end. Houston and Toronto split their two meetings last season but the Rockets have taken three of four in the series.
