NBA betting tips from Bettingpro.com's basketball expert, including the best bets from Houston Rockets at Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers at Oklahoma City Thunder.

Houston Rockets at Minnesota Timberwolves (01:00 GMT on Wednesday)

The Houston Rockets are hoping to stay hot after they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center. The Rockets (42-13) extended their winning run to eight games after beating the Dallas Mavericks 104-97 on Sunday. James Harden topscored with 27 points while Chris Paul had an all-around effort of 25 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. The Wolves (35-24), meanwhile, are targeting back-to-back wins after beating the Sacramento Kings 111-106 at home on Sunday. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 29 points as Minnesota snapped a two-game skid. The Rockets blasted the Wolves 116-98 in Houston last January 18 behind the 30 points of super sub Eric Gordon. We are backing the Rockets to extend their winning run.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Oklahoma City Thunder (01:00 GMT on Wednesday)

The new-look Cleveland Cavaliers conclude their three-game trip in Oklahoma City with the aim of getting their fourth-straight victory. Led by LeBron James (24 points, 10 assists, 8 rebounds) and new recruits Jordan Clarkson (17 points) and George Hill (12 points), the Cavaliers cruised to a 121-99 win at Boston on Sunday. They are currently ranked third in the Eastern Conference behind Toronto and Boston. The Thunder (32-25), meanwhile, are targeting back-to-back wins after blasting the Memphis Grizzlies 110-92 on Sunday. Paul George fired 33 points to lead OKC in the absence of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony. Westbrook is questionable while Anthony is day-to-day. The Thunder are tipped to escape with a close win.
