Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers remains the favorite to emerge as NBA Rookie of the Year among the major bookmakers across Europe.

The Australian forward is averaging 16.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 7.5 assists. Simmons, the top pick of the 2016 Rookie Draft but only got to play this season because of a foot injury, leads all rookies in rebounds and assists. He is playing good music with Joel Embiid and the Sixers are doing better this season after being whipping boys in the past few seasons.

Utah's Donovan Mitchell, Boston's Jayson Tatum and Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers have climbed up the odds market. Mitchell leads all rookies in scoring with 18.2 points per game. The young guard from Louisville also leads the Jazz in scoring.

Tatum has made the most of his extended playing minutes in the absence of Gordon Hayward. The former Duke University standout is Boston's third leading scorer behind Kyrie Irving and Jaylen Brown.

Kuzma, meanwhile, has come out of the shadow of fellow rookie Lonzo Ball in LA. The former Utah Ute has emerged as the Lakers' surprise scoring leader this season with 17.5 points per game and is ranked only behind Mitchell among neophytes.

Another contender is Dennis Smith of the Dallas Mavericks. The former North Carolina State guard remains second in the team in scoring behind Harrison Barnes.

Ball, the most talked about rookie this season, has slipped to sixth spot. The highly-touted rookie from UCLA is averaging just 10 points but he leads the Lakers in rebounding and assists.
